My name is ELAINE DAVIS and I want to be your next
STATE REPRESENTATIVE for DISTRICT 13
Elaine grew up in Farragut and graduated from Farragut High School and the University of Tennessee. Elaine has been married for 24 years and has three children. Her oldest serves in the Air Force Guard, while her middle child is currently attending Pellissippi State, and her youngest is junior at South-Doyle High School.
While earning a degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice, Elaine volunteered as a Court Appointed Special Advocate. That passion for advocacy assisted her in becoming a voice for her one of her sons when he was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. She became a School Advocacy Program Advocate and Call to Congress Delegate for the American Diabetes Association as well as receiving an award for Valued Support, Leadership, and Commitment. In addition, she served on the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation's Legislative and ACT teams. Elaine later served her community as a Knox County Commissioner and Chair of the Knox County Ethics committee for four of the six years she served on that committee.
Elaine has continued to ensure that the community's voice is heard through hosting a local radio program, being guest panelist on local political programs, and arranging Concerned Citizens forums allowing for citizens the opportunity to meet local officials and make known their concerns.
Elaine knows what it means to work hard, to be discerning, and values civility.
"When I become your state representative, I promise to work for all of our citizens, to put aside partisan bickering and do what is right for our community."
